Dr. Cassey Krueger
Veterinarian, Owner
Cassey obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Cassey is originally from Merrill and is excited to be back to practice in her hometown. Dr. Cassey and her husband Brian have one child Dane and share their home with 2 German Shorthair Pointers, Flüg, and Hündly, a horse, Arthur, 3 cats, and some chickens. In her free time, she enjoys biking, running, flying with Brian, and gardening.
Dr. Chavalin Chadwick
Veterinarian
Dr. Chavalin obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin -Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, and has worked in the Wausau area since. Dr. Chava and her husband Shawn have two children, Rylan and Kayden, and share their home with one Labrador Retriever, Willow, and three cats, Lightening, Snowball, and Skittles. In her free time Dr. Chava enjoys spending time with her family – taking the boys to all of their various sporting events, as well as spending time outdoors gardening, fishing and boating.
Amy Rakow
Certified Veterinary Technician
Amy graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 2004, and has worked in the Wausau area since. In her free time Amy is an avid reader, enjoys gardening, traveling, knitting, and spending time with her family. She is owned by one cat, George.
Kristina Boquist
Lead Receptionist
Kristina has been with Merrill Vet since 2004. She grew up in Merrill and now lives in Gleason with her husband Aaron, daughters Emma and Ally, their dog Bella, and two cats Mitzie and Vanilla Bean. She enjoys spending time with all family and pets, camping, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
Trisha Spransy
Veterinary Assistant
Trisha has been a member of the Merrill Vet team since 2008. She shares her home with her son Mason, and fiancé Chris. In her free time she enjoys fishing, boating, playing with her son, and singing. Trisha has two cats Kiki and Cora.
Trinity Evans
Veterinary Assistant
Trinity has been with Merrill Vet since September of 2021. She is an avid dog musher and owns a team of sled dogs.
Ruth Anderson
Veterinary Assistant
Ruth joined our team in April of 2022. She shares her home with her husband Tyler, and 3 daughters; Isabella, Taylor, Karlee as well as her 3 dogs; Berklie, Abby and Colt. In her free time, she enjoys fishing and spending time with family.
Javonna Saari
Veterinary Assistant
Javonna joined our team in April of 2022. She shares her home with her husband Brian. Together they have a small hobby farm with a variety of animals.
Mallory Wise
Veterinary Assistant
Mallory has been at the Merrill Veterinary Clinic since July of 2012. Her hobbies outside of work include hunting, fishing, crossfit, shopping and watching movies. She is married to Greggy and mom to Cam and Hazel. Mallory also shares her home with 3 dogs and 2 cats, Hiccup, Gracie Lou, Lennie, Elliot and Tilli.
Dr. Randy Zelent

Dr. Randy officially retired at the end of 2022.
