Dental Care

Dental care is essential for your pets health and well-being. By the age of 3 nearly 80% of cats and dogs show some form of dental disease. In an ideal world brushing your pets teeth daily will help prevent disease (click here to watch a video on how to brush your pets teeth at home), but we do realized that is not always possible. If left untreated, dental disease can cause other issues throughout the body. Yearly exams to have your pets teeth checked is necessary to detect these issues before they become a serious problem.

If you pet is found to have dental issues we will schedule a cleaning where we will be able to further assess the teeth, do a full in depth clean and polishing of all teeth, and do any necessary extractions of teeth that are in poor condition. Here is another great video that explains dental disease and what happens when your pet comes in for a cleaning.
